TEACHING & SERMONS
Open the Word.
Explain the Word.
We want Scripture to speak for itself.
WHY TEACHING MATTERS
We believe God's Word should be opened, explained, and allowed to speak.
At Bonanza Community Church, preaching is not intended to entertain or simply provide encouragement for the week. We teach through Scripture because we believe God's Word is authoritative and sufficient, and that believers grow as they come to understand and apply its truth.
That is also why we make our teaching available publicly. You should not have to wonder what you will hear at Bonanza. Listen for yourself, open the Bible with us, and compare what is taught with the Word of God.
CURRENT SUNDAY SERIES
Ephesians
Our Life in Christ
Paul's letter to the Ephesians takes us from what God has done for us in Christ to what it means to live as people who belong to Him. We are working through the book carefully, allowing the argument of the letter to build from passage to passage.
Explore the Ephesians SeriesTEACHING THROUGH SCRIPTURE
Not simply covering verses—allowing Scripture to get through to us.
Our goal is not to move through a book as quickly as possible. We want to understand what the text says, why it matters, and how its truth should affect the way we live.
Expository teaching helps keep the message governed by the text rather than by whatever subject happens to be popular that week.
WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD
Perseverance
Our midweek Bible study gives us room to slow down and examine important biblical truths together. Our current study begins with a simple but important question: What is biblical perseverance?
We will consider why perseverance matters and what it means for our everyday walk with Jesus Christ.
